About Randy Willier
Born in Texas to a military family, I grew up mainly in the Midwest and Europe. Along the way, I went to many different schools finally graduating from Frankfurt American High School, in W. Germany. Later, I studied the art of printmaking and received a BFA from Kansas State University in 1975 and an MFA from Indiana University in 1982. Immediately, I sold almost everything I owned and moved to New York City. Lived a full and eventful life as an East Village artist. Painting and exhibiting studio work, doing decorative and mural painting, photography, illustration, set building, backdrop painting, modeling, bicycle racing, etc. Moved to Rhode Island in 2001. I began then and still teach part-time in the Illustration Dept. at the Rhode Island School of Design.
