About Andy Jenkins
Jenkins was born in Sevilla, Spain to a Spanish mother and an American father from Jackson, Mississippi. Needless to say the accents encountered in the Jenkins house were unique.

Jenkin’s early career had him working in and around magazines, as editor, writer, illustrator and designer with his two best friends and partners, Mark Lewman and Spike Jonze. During this time period Jenkins also began a skate/punk zine that was to eventually become, Bend Press, a small independent publishing company with a couple books under its belt.

In 1994 he went to work for the Girl Skateboard Company where he still resides as art director and member of the infamous Art Dump. His personal work has made its way into several exhibitions across the globe (Japan, England, Australia, Holland) and has been featured in several books, including "Beautiful Losers" (US), "Dysfunctional" (US), "Sky-H" (Hong Kong) and "Blower, Snowboarding Inside and Out" (US) and more. Jenkins has also been featured in several magazines and DVDs over the past few years. The diversity of his work is most likely what makes Andy Jenkins refer to himself mainly as a tinkerer. He lives in San Pedro, California with his wife Kelley Hart, son Emmet, two cats, two desert tortoises and one rosy boa.
