About Christopher Bettig
Christopher Bettig’s work is a sea of pattern, repetition, geometry &
natural forms that he uses to make abstract landscapes. He develops his
work through the use of a wide range of mediums and textures to express
these patterns, which are his representations of the beauty in nature.
His works tend to vary in mediums quite significantly with the one common
theme of recycling and reusing common objects, often deemed as waste or
garbage, which would normally be destined for a landfill.
Christopher Bettig is a French / American artist and designer currently
based in Los Angeles, who graduated from the Maryland Institute College of
art with a degree in painting. His work has been featured in solo
exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York City & San Francisco as well as in
group exhibitions in Europe, Japan & North America. Several international
publications have featured his work such as the New York Times, Lucky
Magazine, Oyster, Desktop, Quest, Sportswear International and RE:UP
amongst others. Chris founded The Mountain Label in 2004, which is his
